Form follows taste

How do you bring the taste experience of super-freshly prepared ice cream within reach of the consumer? That question was the most important starting point in this project, that Comate Engineering & Design executed for the Belgian brand CUPPLE, an A spin-off ice cream brand Australian Homemade Ice Cream.

I supported Comate in mapping out the desired user experience and translating it into product architecture. In parallel to the technical development, I created an aesthetic form language that matched the desired principles of the client and the constraints dictated by the technology.

Cupple put a lot of effort into developing her taste palette, and by making technology and design subordinate to taste, a tempting product has emerged with which Cupple achieved their crowdfunding target through Kickstarter within a single day. This success is also due to the synergetic collaboration between several companies; read more about it here meer over.
