VI-Assist X2 for Luo Automation

Automating time-consuming inspection processes in pharmaceutical production can save staff considerable time while improving consistency and product quality. Ambitious Delft-based start-up Luo Automation developed VI-Assist, an automated visual inspection system for injectable medicines in syringes, ampoules and vials.

Luo approached OID to design the system. By treating the machine as an architectural structure and organising its individual components into clearly defined modules, we created a design that supports an efficient workflow while allowing for future upgrades.

The resulting architectural design language became the foundation for the start-up’s visual design DNA.

During an intensive collaboration, OID translated technical requirements and engineering constraints into user-friendly solutions, giving the machine a distinctive and recognisable identity.
